Sạn đúc is an old Southern term for cast concrete made with gravel, sand, cement, and water; it is reinforced concrete only when steel reinforcement is present.

`Sạn đúc` là cách gọi cũ, thường gặp trong lời Nam Bộ, chỉ bê tông được trộn từ sạn/sỏi làm cốt liệu thô, cát, xi măng và nước rồi đổ vào khuôn (*cast concrete*). Nếu trong cấu kiện có cốt thép thì gọi rõ `bê tông cốt thép`; không phải mọi sạn đúc đều mặc nhiên có thép. Từ này không cho biết cấp phối, mác/cấp độ bền, kích cỡ cốt liệu, độ sụt, cách đầm, bảo dưỡng, tải trọng, chất lượng hoặc độ an toàn của cấu kiện.
