Rau tần ô is Glebionis coronaria, a leafy vegetable also widely called cải cúc; rau tần ô is especially familiar in Southern Vietnamese usage.

`Rau tần ô` là *Glebionis coronaria*, loại rau có lá xẻ và mùi đặc trưng, phần non thường được nấu canh hoặc nhúng lẩu. `Tần ô` quen trong lời Sài Gòn–Nam Bộ; `cải cúc` là tên rất phổ biến ở miền Bắc và trong tiếng Việt toàn dân, còn `rau cúc` cũng có thể gặp. Kew chấp nhận *Glebionis coronaria*; *Chrysanthemum coronarium* là đồng danh cũ thường thấy, không phải một loại khác. Tên món chỉ cho biết cách dùng trong công thức cụ thể, không buộc mọi nồi lẩu hay canh phải có loại rau này. Phân biệt `rau tần ô` với `rau tần/húng chanh`. Tab Nôm ghi `𦶀` theo dẫn chứng trực tiếp `tần ô (rau cúc)`, chỉ cho thành tố `ô`, không dựng một chữ riêng cho `tần`.
