A stye: a small, usually tender inflamed lump at the edge of or inside an eyelid. The word does not cover every eyelid lump and should not be used to diagnose a chalazion, allergy, injury, or another eye condition from appearance alone.

Danh từ chỉ mụn viêm nhỏ mọc ở bờ mi hoặc mặt trong mi mắt, thường gọi là mụt lẹo hay lẹo mắt: a stye. Đây là tên gọi thông dụng, không phải kết luận cho mọi cục sưng ở mi; chắp, dị ứng, chấn thương và các bệnh mắt khác cần được phân biệt bằng thăm khám phù hợp. Khi đau nhiều, ảnh hưởng thị lực, lan rộng hoặc không cải thiện, câu ví dụ chỉ khuyên hỏi nhân viên y tế thay vì tự chẩn đoán. Đại Nam Quấc âm tự vị ghi chữ Nôm 瞭 cho âm lẹo trong chính mục mụt lẹo; đó là chứng cứ chữ Nôm, không biến từ này thành Hán–Việt.
