Mố is an abutment, the end support of a bridge or similar structure that carries loads into the ground and often retains the approach embankment.

`Mố` là thuật ngữ công trình, thường gặp trong `mố cầu`: kết cấu ở đầu cầu, tựa trên nền hoặc móng để đỡ đầu nhịp/gầm cầu, truyền tải trọng xuống đất và thường giữ phần đất đường dẫn. Tiếng Anh kỹ thuật là `abutment`, không phải `pier` cho trụ nằm giữa các nhịp, không phải toàn bộ `foundation` và cũng không đồng nghĩa với bờ sông. Cầu thường có mố ở hai đầu, nhưng số lượng và cấu tạo thực tế phải đọc hồ sơ thiết kế; tên `mố` không cho phép tự kết luận vật liệu, tải trọng, độ an toàn hay nguyên nhân nứt. `Mố nhô`, `mố vùi`, `mố chữ U` là các kiểu hoặc cách gọi chuyên ngành cần nguồn thiết kế cụ thể. Tra Hán–Nôm không có kết quả định vị cho `mố`, nên tab chữ để trống có chủ đích thay vì lấy chữ gần âm.
